It will be a brief meeting, and those in attendance will have to sign in. Thanks in advance for your support of this vital event to make Michigan Bearfest 2006 one of the best ever! We need you to be there, and at the meeting we will be raffling off the 8 spots in the 2 free hotel rooms. This year the Michigan Pride group is giving us a free night in Lansing on the Night of June 24, 2006 the Michigan Pride Rally and March. So you don't have to worry about driving home.

EVERYONE that is in attendance at this meeting will have a chance to win a spot in the hotel room (that is if they want to share a room with 3 other bears). The only requirement is that you sign up for a 4-5 hour shift during the Beer Tent (6 PM - 3 AM) on June 24, 2006 in Lansing. It’s a great annual event to raise awareness on several levels (as well as people watch and have a marvelous time), so add this event to your calendar as a “Must DO!”

As in the past, the Motor City Bears will have a table there as well and will be actively getting the word out about our little group here.

Come and help support the American Cancer Society.

Chuck Blanchard and some of his co-workers from U-Haul are grilling to raise money. That's right, come and watch Chuck work his magic on the grill.

Any and all tips that are put in the tip jars on the grilling station will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Our general meetings are discussions of past and upcoming activities mixed with club business and socializing. If you want to know if we're the club for you, come check us out. Guests and visitors are always welcome. Generally speaking, Diamond Jim's Saloon is located on Warren Ave., one short block east of Evergreen in Detroit. It's right by the Comerica Bank, and you can use their parking lot. 

Get out your grass skirts and shake them hips to Waterford, we're having a luau! Join us for a fun Hawaiian themed feast that only Tony could pull off!

Fat Tony's Diner, you know, the place with the killer brunch, has invited the Motor City Bears to a PRIVATE, after hours, Luau, to be held on June 17th, right in his Diner!

The menu includes:

Sweet and Sour Pork Loin, Coconut Chicken Strips, Ham, Green Salad Summer Salad, (kinda an ambrosia thing) Roasted Red Skin Potatoes Fresh Baked Bread, Veggies, Soft Drinks.

If you've been to Fat Tony's, you know there's lots of good food, and cheap prices. This shindig will only set you back $13.00, if you are a member, and $15.00 if you are not (pre book prices, the price at the door will be $15.00 for all. Last day to PayPal is June 14 as the treasurer will be in Hawaii.

End the weekend at the State's hottest outdoor Dance Party, hosted by www.michiganbearfest.com with special guest DJ Jimmy of Partners Bar in Battle Creek. Admission is $5 for those 18 & over, proceeds benefit Michigan Pride.
