Anyone who wishes to run as a club officers
must be nominated at the September's meeting. The four positions are as
follows: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary. Voting
will occur during the October meeting.
Our general meetings are discussions of past and upcoming activities
mixed with club business and socializing. If you want to know if we're
the club for you, come check us out. Guests and visitors are always
welcome. Generally speaking, Diamond Jim's Saloon is located on Warren
Ave., one short block east of Evergreen in Detroit. It's right by the
Comerica Bank, and you can use their parking lot.

The movie night starts at 7pm with the movies starting around 8pm. This
will be a 70's DISASTER FILM movie night! We will be showing The
Towering Inferno, Airport, and some other disastrous gems!
Possibly a late night showing of Showgirls too! (Hey, I know it's not
from the 70's but it sure is a Beautiful Disaster! LOL)
We will be supplying munchies and pop, if you would like to bring
something to share that would be wonderful too, I know there are some
fabulous cooks in our group! we will have mixers but if you want
anything harder than pop, bring it with you.
As always, the hut tub will be hot and ready for Bear Soup! Please
bring your own towel.
OK all you hungry bears, time to start filling that belly for the
upcoming winter hibernation season. You know, the couch potato months
waiting for the next summer to arrive.
This time we will visit a good Chinese buffet called Fortune Buffet
in Livonia. It is on Middlebelt Rd. at 5 Mile Rd. Just one mile north of
the Middlebelt exit on I-96. It is on the Southwest corner in a L shaped
strip-mall.
They also serve beer, wine and liquor.

A pretty amazing array of dishes, from the expected Chinese-American
chicken, beef and barbecued ribs to much more esoteric items aimed at an
Asian audience, makes this one of the most interesting Chinese buffets
around. A sushi chef prepares the rice-wrapped tidbits to order at a
small sushi bar, and there is also a chef-staffed Mongolian barbecue
where guests may put together their own combinations. Noodle soups and
the Vietnamese pho are also prepared to order. The buffet includes
nearly 175 different choices, from crispy squid and fresh oysters and
clams to steamed flounder, crab with ginger and scallions and seaweed
salad, in addition to an array of fresh fruit and American style salad
makings. At $10.95 for dinner, it's a steal, and the setting is
attractively done up in light oak and pastel colors.
All though this is not an official MCB activity, we thought we would put
on our calendar just in case anyone was interested.
It's a Bears In The Woods weekend for Bears from all over the
Midwest.
Saturday's "Fun in Flannel" party will feature a bear performer to show
us
how flannel comes off.
For singles, Campit's Dating Game is back. We had so much fun last
year we
just have to do it again! And there are always great singles to meet at
Campit.
