Come on out and join us for Wall to Wall Fur at Diamond Jim’s.  

If you're not familiar, the bears of S.E. Michigan, S.W. Ontario and N.E. Ohio are descending on our home bar, Diamond Jim’s Saloon, for a weekend for a great time and “lots of fur!!!” Invitations have gone out to bears as far away as West Virginia and Iowa, to Minnesota to Kentucky and all parts in between to converge on Diamond Jim’s Saloon this weekend and it's going to be a blast. We’re going to show all the out-of-town guests just how the Bears have fun with fur in the Motor City!

We will be hosting both Friday and Saturday nights.   This is a big weekend event at Diamond Jim’s, probably the biggest event we have there.  We will have lots of food, munches, Jello shots, 50/50 drawings and more.  Saturday we will be having a contest to crown our new Mr. Motor City Bear.  This is one event not to miss!  It is a lot of fun.  

Generally speaking, Diamond Jim's Saloon is located on Warren Ave., one short block east of Evergreen in Detroit. It's right by the Comerica Bank, and you can use their parking lot.

Matt  (Bigfootcub) Birthday Celebration 4:00 pm - ??
 

All MCB members have been invited to celebrate Matt W. (Bigfootcub) birthday.  It all starts at Dave and Busters which is the king of game arcades. The place is the size of a large warehouse. They have food, drinks and of course games including pool tables, shuffleboard and tons of electronic games. The plan is to get there early enough to have a meal and check out the games. They will not take a reservation so everyone will meet up there near the bar (which is right inside the door.

Rose City Bears Bear Bar Night - 8PM until close

The Rose City Bears' of Windsor, Ontario are having their next Bear Bar Night on St. Patrick's Day at Club 783 [783 Wyandotte E., Windsor].  There'll be green beer, corned beef and good company and as usual there is NO COVER!

The cost is $12.00 for members of MCB or competing bear groups and $17.00 for non-members.  This includes: 3 games of bowling, Rental shoes, Pizza and Pop

The first two games will be normal bowling and the third will require that a few other instructions be followed. If you have been there in past years you know what I mean. If not I assure you that you will have fun and if you are not a skilled bowler, this third game will help you beat even the best bowlers ;>)

Also if you are worried about the skill level of the other bears, Believe me, I seen a lot of scores below 100 last year and unless someone has been secretly been practicing behind our backs, you don't have much to worry about.

You can send in your payment, pay with PayPal or Pay the night of the event.   **Remember that if your dues are not up to date then the cost is $17.00**.

Please post in the Members Yahoo group or email the treasurer if you are coming. Rumor has it that there maybe a few other clubs here as well so maybe we can get a little club challenge going again.

Come and see the big show starring our own, Ward L. from Motor City Bears as Alice, in The Tribe's production of "The Brady's and I" based (very) loosely on Rogers & Hammerstein's 'The King and I.' This production is a "SPOOF" and is filled with wonderful Gay Humor and Innuendo, as well as songs you will probably never forget once you've heard them in this venue!

Motor City Bears is also providing the accompaniment music as Charles (chaznboots@aol.com) is playing the keyboard for the event.

Tickets for the show with a Buffet Style Dinner and OPEN BAR are $45 a ticket or $80 a couple. The big night is March 31, doors and bar open at 6:30 p.m. dinner at 7:30ish show at 9 p.m.

They are also having a bar night on MARCH 23rd, at the HAYLOFT.
