We will keep this as a base but still keep things open to travel to
new shops if we get ideas from our members. I would love to go try new
coffee shops. Anyone want to set one up? Anyone, anyone?
So our first coffee shop meet will be at AJ's Cafe. So come enjoy
coffee, juice, raw bar, tacos, and homemade soups.
Come on out of your cave and meet up with the bears.

Toledo Mini Tour / bar night / After hours party Itinerary below
Join us for a great day/night in Toledo. Keith F.
has a full schedule planned so come on down for as little or as much as
you want.
You can meet up with us at any place along the way.
We have also heard that the Cleveland Bears are going to be around
that day as well. Gary P. has sent them an invite so there may be some
new bears around.
We have scheduled some uniquely Toledo events so make plans to be
there. The events are planned so that you can be with us all day or any
part of the day.
We will start with the new glass pavilion of the
Toledo
Museum of Art (2445 Monroe St.) Toledo is known as glass city due
to the location of glassmaking industries for several generations. The
Libby and Owens families made their wealth in glass making and
contributed to the original art museum and the new glass pavilion. It
was designated the best museum in Travel + Leisure magazines 2007 design
awards. We will plan on visiting the museum from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.
The next stop will be the
Libby Glass Outlet at the Erie Street Market. The outlet features
Libby products with lots of unusual pieces. As part of the Warehouse
District experience, the 16,000-square-foot Outlet is conveniently
located adjacent to the Erie St. Market. Set up in a huge,
warehouse-type setting, shoppers will find hundreds of styles of
glassware, cookware, dinnerware, flatware, gifts, candles, seasonal
items and much more at prices up to 60 percent off retail! And be sure
to check out the clearance area for even better savings! Cash, check and
all major credit cards are accepted. We will plan on shopping from 3:00
pm - 5:30 pm.
Then, of course, the bears will be heading out for some grub and
we’ll be dining in Klinger’s, from M*A*S*H, favorite hangout
Tony Packo’s. Tony
Packo’s is a Toledo institution and a great authentic Hungarian
restaurant. Look for signed buns from actors to presidents. I set the
reservation time for 6:30 and reserved space for 22 (just a guess),
please RSVP through the members only Yahoo Group so we may confirm the
reservation. We will be at the original location on 1902 Front
Street, just over the new bridge over I-280. After a day at the
museum and shopping, plan on bringing your appetite from 6:30 pm - 8:30
pm.
The bar night activities will officially be at the
Rip Cord (115 N. Erie St.), but
their “sister” bar The Warehouse is attached with open access between
them. We will NOT be covering the door for cover charges or other
security functions. We thought it would be a darn shame for our guys to
travel all that way and spend time at the door instead of meeting new
Bears. We will have alternate fund raising activities including a 50/50
drawing and our ever-popular Jell-O shots. Additionally we will be
selling balloons with some winning prizes for the lucky ones.
Keith F. (aka Kerrybear) will be hosting the after-hours party and
has room for anyone interested in spending the night Friday night and/or
Saturday night. His house is at (check the members only Yahoo Group for
address.) Keith's house has extra bedrooms, couches, and LOTS of
carpeted floor space. Bring a sleeping bag and your pillow in case you
don’t get a bed or couch.
Come on out of your cave and meet up with the
bears and enjoy some coffee, juice, raw bar, tacos, and homemade Soups,.
We are meeting there about 1 PM and will hang out until at least 3 or
so. Hope to see you there.

Annual Halloween Party 8:00pm - till ? at Brian and Shane's
Sterling Heights, MI
Halloween has become the second biggest holiday
of the year... but then you knew that already, right? The MCB Halloween
Party has long been a staple of the MCB’s annual calendar and it’s easy
to see why. Every year, many of the bears outdo themselves with
magnificent and original costume ideas to showcase their best assets,
with sometimes stunning and/or hilarious results!
This year MCB will have two portions to the Best Costume Contest. One
will be for Best Nursery Rhyme, the other for Best Fairy Tale. Cash
prizes will be awarded. More details to come.
Pop and ice will be provided. Please BYOB as well as a buffet dish based
on the first letter of your last name. Your cooperation will help assure
that we don’t have too many of one item and not enough of another.
A-F:
Finger foods, side dishes, Soups etc.
G-M:
Meat dishes, casseroles, main dishes etc.
N-R:
Salads, cheese, deviled eggs, dip trays etc.
S-Z:
Desserts
The secret to the MCB Halloween Party is a simple recipe: Take bears in costume. Add food and drink, mix well, then just issue a
stern warning to all party goers. Don't Go In The Basement!!!
Terrible noises keep coming from down there and you may NOT come out
alive!!! Naturally, like any good horror flick, they can’t stay
out of there and by morning, the end result is usually a night to
remember... if you dare!
Check the
MCB Members Only Yahoo Group for directions to Brian & Shane's.
Also last minute information about this event will be posted in both
Yahoo groups.

Club event - Non-members are asked to donate $5.00 to the club to help pay for costs.**
